Well another one bites the dust, the story has been going downhill since the last couple of updates if we’re being honest, but this… was bad. Devs treat rape in games like the hiccups. No lingering affects, just a random fuck that’s been long overdue for about a year now, never knew rape could bring people closer. What a splendid writing job…

Is it really that surprising? The previous big game had some mild NTR as well with the mom. Soooo...
Yep and it’s still not tagged lol, the mom randomly sucked off a publisher and nothing came out of it, they acted like it never happened, so this is definitely on par with the Dev in terms of random nonsense.

Could you be kind and explain in detail what scene with MC's mom are you talking about?
In DoD when the mc go clothing shopping with ms turner you can suggest her to wear something "revealing" to meet the publisher of her book, if you choose that, she will give a BJ to the
publisher, it's completely avoidable just like the Isa scene.

I guess that was the choice to buy her the slutty or conservative outfit for the job interview? My spidey sense was going off so I didn't touch the slutty clothes-turns out I was right I guess.

Yeah, I remember that. That scene was more like pushing her to do that; not like she wanted to.

But I read here about the scene people is whimpering.

Even If I cannot play the last versions (because the video card from my old MAC is not enough for the enhanced game) I don´t thing that controversial scene meanings NTR.

You see, she was stoned (or not? I mean, under the efect from some sleeping pill) and the douchbage of her former parter (a narcissistic socyopath) couldn´t face the fact that Issa broke up with him.

To me (one more time: I couldn´t watch the scene) is more like a dramatic fact of live that Devs are trying to add to the plot, to enrich it.

Also, I read too that you can avoid the scene. Therefore, everybody is happy!

Anyway, thanks for taking time to answer my question.

Cheers

Dude she’s a grown woman, she should’ve known whether to dress like that or not but that’s besides the point, no one put a gun to her head, she didn’t even put up a fight and that’s a writing problem if anything else.

I get it.

But remember: it´s a game writing from others; neither you nor me.

So, we need to understand that we cannot control every variable from the game.

Mrs. Turner wasn´t a slut or something like that.

Otherwise, we could have watched her doing another stuffs in that way, therefore, I don´t thing she was a slutty sort of woman (in a bad way).

Just my point of view.

Thanks for sharing your opinion!

To me the truth is, the biggest problem with this game is the small updates that take to long.
If you want to do something different/unusual (like what happened to Isabel) you CANNOT make a small update and leave the story hanging to finish that path later.

What I basically mean is: it's better to take too long and release more content than it is to release quick small updates fast,
but it's really bad to release small updates after so much time.

This update was supposed to be focused on Isabel, but in reality it had the amount of content I'd expect for her and Ruby and others in any general update.
If more content is released together, stuff like this won't happen, people won't get so easily mad about one scene or one plot.
But if it's just a small update focused on one girl, you should make many more scenes with her in one go.

TO ME this is why this update and the last Milfy City update for example weren't received well.
And I think it's also the reason why games that take a few months to release content but release over 1 hour of gameplay work so well.
Take Lust Theory for example, every update comes with more than 1 plot, usually some bonuses scenes, and I have to spend the whole night playing to finish it. This way, there is enough content to make most people happy and bad parts (or undesired fetishes for some) don't get as much attention.

Correct me if I am wrong, I haven't played DoD in a long time. But the mild NTR stuff with the mom happens rather early in the game. In this case we're 3 years in development. It is kind of weird to start adding that stuff so late in development without any warning. I don't think you can really blame people for being surprised.

Still one of the best at least one of the top 3 developers in Ren'Py area of games even if updates takes longer sometimes (because of the rendering and storyline). Good job. Thanks.

Waiting for them to add the deserved NTR tag, it's a matter of time . The game won't get better so just kill it , lol

My point was more, they have done something similar before with inserting NTR randomly. Although from the sounds of things it seems like they are going to do it more seriously this time.

I reported both that one and this one for it... but mod rejected it for some reason... despite being obvious NTR. just cause it is mild doesn't change that. (even by f95 tag rules). And well this one is 100% not mild.

True, but there are probably a lot of people that never played DoD that aren't aware of that. As long as it's avoidable I don't think it's a huge problem. The issue for me with this update was that the whole situation was very poorly handled and felt like was written by a 15 year old.
