This can be adequately covered in the main article on the tounament, with this article basically duplicating a section which already exists. Besides which, these are just warm-up matches, with no official cricketing status. Howzat?Out!Out!Out! (talk) 15:31, 15 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep: Even though these matches have no official cricketing status, they do not fail WP:GNG because they are covered in some reliable sources. Duplicating a section of an article (not the whole article) into a new article, called splitting, is not a problem unless it is made as a POV fork, which is not the case here. jfd34 (talk) 06:29, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep International matches at this level clearly meet WP:GNG and help chop-down an already lenghty main article, per WP:SIZE. Lugnuts And the horse 08:12, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment: Moved page: 2012 ICC World Twenty20 (Warm-up matches) → 2012 ICC World Twenty20 warm-up matches. jfd34 (talk) 13:14, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete Wholly covered in main tournament article, does not need to be duplicated in a seperate article. extra999 (talk) 16:53, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete Main article is not too long (WP:SIZESPLIT). Meets WP:A10 deletion criteria. --SocietyBox (talk) 22:24, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- But it will be by the end of the tournament. Lugnuts And the horse 08:12, 17 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete as duplication of an existing topic, and warm-up matches have no official standing. The parent article is not long enough to justify a spin-out and I doubt if a split will be called for even by the time the tournament finishes. Reyk YO! 00:57, 18 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- As per WP:GNG, notability is not determined by anything like "official status" but by the topic's coverage in reliable sources. jfd34 (talk) 04:17, 18 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- It's entirely a duplication of content in the parent article, without any justification for a split. Passing the GNG does not mean you can repeatedly clone the same content all over the place. That's if indeed it passes the GNG. Which is a shaky assertion at best when the entire content is just statistics copied and pasted from a sporting results website. Reyk YO! 04:36, 18 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete Matches are notable only in the context of building up to the tournament itself. --Dweller (talk) 20:36, 18 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete - These matches are not notable independently of the tournament. The match reports are already included in the main article and in a hidden box, which negates their effect on WP:SIZE. – PeeJay 07:36, 19 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
