    👉 This is THE lesson. This is the part of Daniel's pentatonic diagonal course that is/was the moment that changed everything for me. I shattered 20 years of being stuck in a rut after this point,. achieved a level of playing in my 40s I didnt think I could hit in my 20s. That was 7 months ago, and since then my entire mindset about playing has evolved to believe I have the musician in me I want to be, and I'm doing it everyday. I'm a student of Daniels, and I'm not asked or paid to share this, I'm proof of the intermediate that got over the plateau, thanks to Daniels teaching and methods.

    Dude your lessons have really given me a better way to see the fretboard. I’ve been playing for so long and there hasn’t been a lesson I’ve seen that explains it like you do. It has definitely given me a boost in motivation to make practicing fun again. THANK YOU!

    This is something I discovered from many years of just watching guitar players play, but I never knew why it was so. Thank you for the POV! ….And thank you for the Blue Notes.

    Love the 2-3 system I've known about this for a fair while now and it makes life so easy. I love how you can use it for both minor and major pentatonic... I can easily relate to what you say at 8:15 how you go to a different scale position and have no idea where the flat fifths are supposed to be so I'd always be restricted to just being able to play the blues notes in position 1 but again this is where learning the fretboard becomes such a useful tool... if you can look at any note on any fret and just immediately know what it is it's like a video game where you have an invincibility cheat. It's almost like it's impossible to stuff up =)

      Totally!! Intervals + note names + common useful shapes = total fretboard freedom!

    Very useful especially when starting out with lead guitar. Also the 3 2 system using the Major scale is a good one too 😁

    What? Wait! So the 2 - 3 system works for MINOR Pentatonic scales, and the 3 - 2 system works for the MAJOR Pentatonic scales? If that's so, then that's incredibly useful and a big 'lightbulb moment' for me! Thank you Daniel!

    • @DanielSeriffMusic
      @DanielSeriffMusic  18 дней назад

      You got it! They are actually relative major and minors if you’ve checked that out. Yes! 2-3 minor. 3-2 major!

    Dan the man!! Can you speak on the use of the cushion ? Should I invest in one ? Hoping you give a brief explanation why

    • @DanielSeriffMusic
      @DanielSeriffMusic  21 день назад +2

      Heyo! It really helps to get the guitar up and make me not so slouchy. I am much better with it. Also makes it more similar to standing position.
      They are on Amazon. Search guitar cushion large.

    That’ fine for 2 ,3 note per string but does not nullify caged for fretboard mapping and. Chord arpeggios plus scales combined

    Cool, this is how I taught myself to solo before we had the internet. It's just a way to describe how the guitar is tuned, but that doesn't mean it won't help, it totally did for me.
