At first this show looked bad but as I watched the show it changed my view on this show because of the plot and the situations the mc Yuuichi must go through to win. The show's plot twists also made me lose my mind because it was just too crazy, so i'm just wondering what are your thoughts on this show

Also Yuuichi is a pretty good character.

Like you ,at first I thought this show was bad but after I watched it I lpse track of time and when it ended I was so excoted for season 2

I had to rewatch some parts because my mind couldnt keep up, but the show kept getting better. cant wait for s2!

As per anime, it was quite rushed and it couldn't justify the manga art but still it was good enough to earn a 8/10 from me

As a manga reader who had caught up to the latest chapter 101, I can assure you this is a really f#ked up psychological game of trust & betrayal & a true legit masterpiece in its own standard, I won't say anything further to avoid any kind of spoiler but I really binged this manga & damn it is surreal!!!

About Katagiri Yuiichi, as per anime he had been shown as a demon & dangerous person who can do anything to win, but he is more than that.........
My further opinion about him in under this section


He is a true devil but one of the most influential MCs

The best “High Stakes Game” genre show imo.

Hopefully the manga gets serialised soon as I want to carry on with this series…

my view is, very dissapointing because they skipped stuff from the manga and pretty bad animation in my opinion, also changed how some characters looked from the manga. tho its just my opinion as a manga reader, recommend to read manga instead because its better :)

Mediocre at best with no disrespect...I don't like to throw around the word "mid" unlike most ppl in the community. They started off really good but became disappointing as it went further. They tried to make simple things look like something very intelligent and complex. The premises of the games weren't bad but the logic used to win them were not satisfactory. Especially even when Yuiichi is doing something simple or sometimes even undertaking a silly method they're trying to make him look like a monster for no reason at all. He's a good character, but I didn't get any reason to compare him to the likes of Ayanokoji which many ppl were doing. If it is high stakes games you wanna talk about then Kakegurui did it better,and as a whole classroom of the elite has handled similar situations far better. Somehow ppl found it amusing when they tried to make things look very intelligent even when the events are not and therefore overrates the show. Characters had potential but not enough fleshed out that 12 episodes could've given us...too much time wasted over trying to sound smart and "Ohh he's a monster" I guess

It was weird it didn’t engage me at all, I think the only time I was interested was when the dad disappeared. I don’t understand how this anime failed so much that the ending felt anti climatic.

like most people I knew this was airing but bec the looked quite disturbing I didn't pick this or maybe bec I don't find the name fancy I have recently binged this show couple days ago (2-days) after I saw that this belonged to a mind -game psychology genre which I have a thing for I decided to give this a try and I didn't regret it
this show has a fair 7.5+ rating and very enjoyable and dark at some times looking forward to season 2 asap!
if you are planning to watch this go give it a try its a good show the animation, games ,mc character,op , ed , visuals everything is good

p.s those normies who compare this anime to Squid game are _____________ insert whatever insult you like

I think this show at first looks like a lot of smaller budget animes with a over exaggerated unrealistic plot. As the show goes on tho it slowly develops the characters to understand how they’re at first over dramatized stories are actually very realistic and reflect real world situations. In addition I think the MC is best comparable to Light (Death Note) but his inner thinking’s and motives are a lot more fleshed out and better done. Light just goes power hungry, Yuichi has a much more in depth reason for his insanity and intelligence.

Personally, I think it's very good. But it's still not a masterpiece but I'll give it 10/10 because of the bias. Because I really like this kind of anime and manga. From what I see a lot of people are talking about Tomodachi Game. I can categorize people into two main groups: if you don't like it, you hate it, and if you like it, you like it because this anime is not for everyone. If you are someone who likes cool and crazy mc I won't be surprised that you like Tomodachi games because Yuichi is a very good character. He's always rational in his actions, and in the manga he's portrayed as a good character with every human emotion. The manga received a rating of 8.40, and it's growing more and more.

Agree With You, Wasn’t Really Interested When I Heard About The Show But As I Watched It I Got Hooked Up..

And Clearly Yuuichi Is A 10/10 MC

Up until the third game i was ready to drop it completely, it felt boring and empty. But once the third game came around Yuuichi single handedly revived my interest in the show, it wasnt great, but i dont regret watching it.

Yeah true. I mean, you may compare Yuuichi to Ayanokoji if you take manga's Yuuichi in consideration, but the anime Yuuichi so far hasn't done nothing amazing. I also agree with you about the unnecessary praise Yuuichi receives from the admins, up until game 3 he didn't do nothing so evil, even so the management kept on praising him like a "unsurpassed monster". The management comments are unnecessary as a whole even in the manga tbh.
Now about the methods Yuuichi used to win the games that you stated that wasn't that satisfactory, i gotta disagree here. I'm talking specially about game 2 conclusion (game 1 and 3 were ok), its conclusion, logic and outcome were pretty well-made actually (although the way it was executed with the excessive exposition from the admin was underwhelming)

The story is quite dark and not what it seemed like when I heard of it or how friendly the opening theme makes it feel, I loved it personally, just the ending could have been better than this even if they plan a sequel.

i was intrigued from before it aired, hooked from episode 1, and enjoyed the entire season thoroughly. I’m sure the manga readers have legitimate gripes about the adaptation but it delivered for me & Yuichi is a goat

I think it's really good. However, the anime had some skipped manga panels, and the expressions were also better in the manga. though the anime is still pretty decent, just wish it got a better adaptation.

I really enjoyed it. The main character is devious and unpredictable. It gets better as the show goes on.

enjoyed watching it, and thought it was great.

can't wait for season 2 (if it happens) though so i'll start reading the manga. i'm really curious to see how the story goes. many people insist manga >>>>>> anime, and since i already enjoyed the anime this much i'm already looking forward to reading lol

the anime was meh due to the slow pacing, but the manga is really good. If anyone asks about this, I'd reccomend the manga over the anime. Its not a terrible anime, but could have done better.

The series in my opinion was a combination of "Kakegurui" & "Ousama Game", which I both like. Be that as it may "Tomodachi Game" wasn't a disappointment, but also didn't reach it's potential, when it easily could have.
I thought it seemed to edgy, when looking at it's cover-art, when I started watching, it pleasently surprised me. By the end however I was thinking "such a shame, it could have achieved more, to bad".
